How to connect to USACONX.COM

UsaconX Setup Software

Click the "Download setup software" link to get the software program.

Installation Instructions

After downloading:
1. double click on the the setup icon
 

After reading the initial dialog, click OK.

  • Enter your full name, username and password in the appropriate fields. If you are not subscribed to any other Internet service providers, place a check in the box labeled: Remove Existing Dialup Accounts.

  • Click the Select Button to pick your local access number.

 

You must know which network you are assigned to in order to proceed, The sales representative that activated your account should have given you this information. if you're not sure which network you're assigned to, either email the administrator admin@usaconx.com or call the 24 hour technical support line at 1-877-329-1371

if you are and exciting UsaconX customer and you didn't install the setup software, the suffix at the end of your username with determine which network you are assigned to. when you click the drop down menu under Network, you will see the suffix for the appropriate networks.

  • Select your network from the drop down menu and enter your area code in the area code box.

  • Select your local access number and click OK.

 

  • Click OK to setup you UsaconX dialer and email account for Outlook Express.

After installing the dialer, you can either delete the setup icon or save it to a floppy disc.

Double click the Internet Explorer icon and you will see your new dialer. See below.

 

To dialup to UsaconX Internet, just click the Connect button.

First you must know which network you are assigned to. The sales rep you spoke with when you signed up will assign you a network and give you your local access number. The network you are assigned to will determine what suffix you will use at the end of your user name when you logon to the Internet.
Identify your network.

Example:
My username is johndoe.  I have been assigned to Network O. I will have to type     johndoe@logon-o.net      for my username. Don't confuse this with your email address. The email address is johndoe@usaconx.com.

Internet Explorer 5 and 5.5 and 6 with Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP

  1. Click your start button, go to settings and click on Control Panel. (Windows XP: Click Start Then Control Panel)

  2. Double click on your Internet Options icon.

  3. Erase anything that may be in the Address field in the Home Page area.

  4. Enter www.usaconx.com in the Address field in the Home Page area.

  5. Click Apply in the bottom right of the Internet Properties dialog box.

  6. Click the Connections tab.

  7. Click the Setup Button

  8. The first box is the welcome box.  Just click the >>Next button.

Setting up your Internet Connection

  • Select: I want to setup my Internet connection manually , or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)
    (Windows XP: Select Connect to the Internet) >> Next.

  • Select: I connect though a phone line and a modem >> Next.

Step 1 of 3: Internet account connection information

  • Leave the area code blank even if you need to dial an area code to call locally.

  • Enter the access number that was assigned to you.

Note: if you need to dial an area code, place the area code in the telephone number field along with the access number. If you don't need to use an area code, just type in the access number.

  • Remove the check mark from (Dial using area code and country code. >> Next

Step 2 of 3: Internet account logon information

  1. Enter your username along with the network suffix in the username field. Make sure no capital letters are used.

  2. Enter your password in the password field >> Next.

Step 3 of 3 Configure your computer

  • Enter usaconx.com in the connection name >> Next.

Setup Your Internet Mail Account

  • Select Yes >> Next

If this is not the first time you setup an email account on you computer, you will be asked to create a new Internet mail account or use an existing Internet mail account. Select create a new email account

Your Name

  • Enter your full name in the Display name field >> Next.

Internet E-Mail Address

  • Enter your new email address  Example: username@usaconx.com. >> Next.

E-Mail Server Name

Leave the first field "My Incoming mail server is a "POP3" server.

Incoming mail(POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server

  • Enter: mail.usaconx.com

Outgoing mail (SMTP) server

  • Enter: mail.usaconx.com

  • >> Next

Incoming Mail Logon

  • Enter your entire email address in the Account Name field. username@usaconx.com

  • Enter your password in the Password field

  • >> Next

Completing the Internet Connection Wizard.

Click >> Finish.
